Interesting day!

Today I woke up earlier than usual to my boyfriend coming over for breakfast. We hung around my house until it arrived. My magazine, printed. This semester at school I took Fashion and for my culminating project I had to make a fashion magazine. With a minimum of 10 pages, I took it further to 16 with an added photo spread, beauty section and street style page. It took me around a month to complete this magazine. I took almost all the photos, wrote all the articles and laid out the whole thing. This magazine took me to museums and allowed to me connect with friends that I needed to be my models. It was an amaing experience and I am in love with the finished product. This morning it arrived from the printer. My mom gave me the box and said 'don't be disappointed' I instantly became nervous and opened the box. The magazines were tiny! I wanted it 8 1/2 by 11, and it was 5 by 8. Everything was readable and looked great so I quickly got over it. When I got the class that day my friend came up to me and said the fashion was today and I was now needed. The fashion class is split by grade 12's and 11's. One of the grade 11s' project was to create a garment in teams out of trash. They wanted to present their garments in a fashion show. My friends partner wasn't a huge help with the creation, and was supposed to be the model. On the day of the show the partner never showed which is where I stepped in. After everyone ooh'd and aah'd at my magazine and it was handed it I was rushed to the bathroom to have the garment fitted to me. The bottom was huge and needed to be stapled tighter. However it wasn't holding and red fabric straps were added. The bottom consisted of an umbrella covered in metal shavings and added red fabric straps. The top was made out of playing cards and secured with a corset back. I had a fun time walking the hallway/runway and showing off the garment to the school and office. Today I was a magazine editor and a model, I felt so connected to my future life and I was so happy. It was a great day.
