Closer Then Before

Today I had my weekly modeling class. I say every week that class was fun, exciting and I learn many new things. This class however was by far the best. Photo shoot prep and posing techniques, was the name of this class. This class required a suitcase full of clothes to decided what we would be wearing on our shoot. We began with introductions as always and then started talking about details of the upcoming shoot. We all came together in a circle of suitcases as the teacher went around and approved, corrected, and vetoed peoples selections until we all had one 'plain' look, and one dress look. We took a break and came back and started posing techniques. This teacher is a model with the agency, and has been for about 7 years. This girl, Claire, had the most gorgeous natural red hair and porcelain skin. She was a true beauty, full of personality and made this class as fun and relaxed as possible. We stood in a circle and were told to do a sequence of 3 poses that everyone would copy. OK, I thought, I've been practising poses for a while in the mirror, I got this. When it came to me I ended up doing a few awkward poses, damn. We did the exercise a few times then we went into another room to practice facial expressions. We had so much fun with that and ended up making lots of silly faces, after practicing smiling with our eyes, scowling and how smiles feel on our face. Later, they told us to split up into partners and take pictures of each other in different poses. I paired myself with my friend Courtney. I ended up with things like this.

Then the best part came when the teacher put some music on and we danced around until she stopped it and had to pose. We did poses alone, then in partners and then in a big group. Oh! we had so much fun with this! All the girls really connected with this exercise and by the end we were all laughing, hugging, and smiling like idiots. We took tons of pictures and ended up with these.

After this we got into our circle again and instead of doing three poses slowly and copying each other, we did a sequence of 5 quick poses just to show what we could do. This was so fun! We had tons of laughs and  were very supportive of each other. Then class was over and we all stayed back a few minuets to exchange numbers and facebook names. 

Later in the day I stopped at fabric land with my mom and got some patterns for things I am going to make. New shorts and a shirt. So excited! went over to my boyfriend house and had a great time doing the things we do. Then off to a small party in the forest complete with marshmallows and a fire. Great end to a great day.
